Holborn blue is no more

Just noticed on the MG website that Holborn blue is no longer a colour option on the MG4, what a shame I really like mine.

BYD did something similar to their Dolphin, they just cut all the colourful options, only shades of grey and a white left. I think it's such a nice option for people who like a splash of colour in their life. Shame Blue got dropped.

The Volcano Orange has been dropped as well, it looks as if the model is approaching the end of it's run.

I was talking to the owner of a black MG4 at Tebay and she said she wanted blue but was two weeks too late to get it. But her car is a 24 plate so I don't quite know how that computes.

Yes, for the UK market, Volcano Orange has only ever been for Trophy and Xpower models, not SE, whereas in other markets like Australia Orange is available on all models

Looks like they gave her a grey instead of a black as well...

I wasn't sure, to be honest. It looked grey at the time; I remember thinking, don't say that to @siteguru, but when I looked at the photo I thought it was closer to black.

Yes I really like the Holborn Blue on my MG4 ER as well. It is a popular colour so I wonder if MG will re-issue the colour but make it a chargeable option colour on non Xpower cars.

Holborn Blue was the original iconic colour of the SE (as Volcano Orange was of the Trophy) and all the SE promotions I saw were of blue cars. It was also a "free" colour (which I might actually have paid to have). Maybe they realised they were giving away something they could charge for?
