Im trying to get this working but failing awfully!

Im new to HA but have all my smart stuff in there - have HACS installed but cant get this working.

Do you have any idiot proof suggestions please

I don’t think there is anything out of the ordinary with the MG integration. What problem are you experiencing? How far have you got? The author is very helpful I have found and has added extra functionality (Battery heating for example) at my suggestion.
It is working fine for me at the moment.

Thanks JWD. I went down another route with a different integration and mqtt and it's working now

Just added my MG4 to home assistant using the integration, working really well. Very interested in the open window sensors which aren't exposed in iSmart that I know of. Thought it might be a default Closed value so opened the rear left and sure enough it shows in home assistant. Now to create an automation to let me know when I've left a window open

I too had some difficulty getting the MG SAIC integration to work. I believe the key to it is the secondary users requirement.

Under the important notes, it states that it is required to use a secondary user account. These are set up in the iSMART app as follows:

Go to the profile page in iSMART app (last icon on right at bottom of screen)

Select Secondary Account

Click + in top right of screen and create a secondary user.

IMPORTANT: Ensure the secondary user is not logged in anywhere. Otherwise the home assistant integration will not log in.

On setting up the integration in home assistant, use the secondary account information.

If you need a secondary account for another user, create a different one for them. Do not use the account you created for home assistant, keep this account dedicated to Home Assistant.
