Can someone please advise? I have a 7kW charger at home which has worked fine. Today I've put my MG4 Trophy on charge and it says slow charging 1.5kW. Usually 6 point something.

Check the setting under the AC Current button, this can limit charging rates. Also does your home charger have a CT Clamp reading you can check to see what the rest of the house is using current wise as this can limit the charge rate.

Your display says AC current which means it is set to maximum, so that is OK.

What charger do you have?

Are you using a tariff that controls the charger? On my Octopus tariff it adjusts the charge rate throughout the night.

Have you changed any of the charger settings by mistake?

I've got a Givenergy charger and at one point it started charging slowly.

Did a factory reset (it is an option on the app) and it has been fine ever since.

I did have to re-attach it to the WiFi though which was a pain.

I don't but will try a fast charger to eliminate my one. Thanks
DC and AC charging are different. You'd need to find an AC charger.

Aldi and Tesco in Redruth seem to have AC chargers. Tesco's will definitely be equivalent to the one you've got at home.

[Edit - oh I see it is the cable you are looking to test, in which case maybe see if a friend or neighbour with an EV can lend you one, or let you use their charger to test]
