Agreed and that localises any fault to the car or the OP's e-pod+cable. If the car, then dealer has been telling fibs.
If the car found is to be ok then that leaves either the e-pod or the OP's separate cable. So either find a proven 32A cable and try that with the e-pod or find a proven EVSE and use the separate cable.
