On my last drive of about 20mins the horn just randomly went 3 or 4 times whislt driving, hands no where near the horn - anyone had this?
Second this, i was driving down a country road and the bumps were enough for me to be pressing the remote button in my pocket and sounding the horn. I leave the keys in the cup holder now.I had it once,... found i was sitting on the keys which was setting the horn off!
Yes! At first I thought I was imagining it but it happened 3 or 4 times. It hasn't happened since. On my last drive of about 20mins the horn just randomly went 3 or 4 times whislt driving, hands no where near the horn - anyone had this?
OMG - that's a blast from the past (literally) - you've just taken me back about 40 (cough... maybe 50) years. My parents had an original Opel Manta and it also started hooting when they turned the wheel. Turned out to be part of the horn switch's contact (larger metal plate) within the steering wheel which had delaminated and contacted the other plate, closing the circuit and making the horn sound. Not sure if steering wheel horn switches are so mechanical these days, though! My horn blows when I'm turning right.
Yes! Had the same with a VW Polo ~30years ago.see also...
