An "under £25k affordable EV" that has turned out to be anything but. Are they taking advantage of the fact that other manufacturers cannot supply the demand or is this odd product from a previously unreliable manufacturer really going to be in the premium market?

Range and price are not at all what we expected. They should be advertising the pre grant price IMO. My SO would prefer an older 39kwh Ioniq or used e-Niro now the new one is out.

The market for EVs currently commands a high price. It will be a few years yet before we see “cheap” EVs.

It compares well to a Mini - from £28.5k with 143 miles. But a Mini is like an iPhone, what cache has a GWM? And if EVs supply ever exceeds demand they will suffer huge depreciation.

I think it's a 'first edition special' a bit like Kia did with the e-Niro, more expensive than the run of the mill ones that come later. Hopefully.
