How long should the 12 volt, battery last ?

Mine lasted to just over 1500 miles before it gave up the ghost.

If your 12V battery turns out to be goosed, I swear by Bosch, and the S5 is recommended for our MG4, an 027. I believe it's the same one in a ZS. Obviously shop around for the best price, but I found Tayna the cheapest.

The S6 we had on our previous Honda was a stunning performer. It never missed a beat and was still going strong when we sold the car with 176,000 miles. It was fitted very early in the car's life because although we bought the car brand new, it had been standing around for a long while and it became clear once we bought the car that the original battery could not hold a charge. So the dealer refunded some money.

Got mine from tanya. Easy to change as no radio code. So you just remove old one and replace with new.

Does the disconnect/ reconnect cause any issues on the ZS EV when changing the 12v battery?

Just did an interesting search on the Varta website: They come up with TWO batteries for the MG.
Hauptbatterie (MAIN) and Zusatzbatterie (Accessories)

Got me thinking maybe they have plans for replacing the Hi Voltage batteries in the future.
If you click on the accessories battery it brings up the A8 battery.
The Main selection takes you to a page to register as a Varta partner.

My car is 6 years old and about 30,000 miles. I have noticed recently that the (12v) battery indicator shows a very low reading in the morning, maybe 10v or so. I think that is a new event. The only other change I have noticed is that sometimes the usual start-up procedure does not work properly. The car goes into the state similar to starting without a foot on the brake. I am wondering whether the 12v battery is faulty?
