HS PHEV - Automatic boot not opening/closing properly.

So after 3 months of trouble-free motoring it seems I have the first glitch with my ‘new’ HS PHEV. When opening the boot this morning using the key fob I noticed that it did not fully open. I have it set to the highest setting. I loaded the boot and pushed the button on the car boot to close it. It descended by did not fully lock at the bottom. I had to push down on the boot to get the catch to engage. Have tried several times through various means to get the boot to open and close correctly but without success. Has anyone here had a similar issue? If yes, did you find a resolution? TIA

I’ve manually pushed the boot up to full height and pressed the boot button if that’s what you mean?

Don't have one, is setting the height and pressing the boot button the method to save the setting?

I don’t think so. There are 3 pre-set heights in the infotainment system.

I came out of Lidl to find my boot half open a few days ago

There is a similar problem with a MGS5 EV solution that might help??
Problem with boot opening on its own and then not properly closing/sealing.

!!UPDATE!!
This was fixed by following the reset procedure laid out in the manual. Push the boot all the way up to the top, then close it manually. Open it again with the boot button or fob, and it appears to recalibrate. Very relieved.

And no more sore head from banging on the boot.
