HS PHEV
Hi all, new to the wonderful world of MG. I have had my HS PHEV since the start of October. Last night (09-Dec-25) received a 'engine emission fault' warning on the dashboard. AA came out today and couldn't diagnose the issue (I believe MG have blocked the error codes from generic diagnostic equipment).

The earliest my car can get seen at a MG Servicing garage is February 2026. Should I be driving the car with an amber warning?

Apologies if this is a common issue and has been answered in the past.

How strange, I too have had this message come up on my car within the last two weeks, as well as another one that says "Vehicle control system fault. Take your vehicle to MG Dealer."

At the moment, my car won't accept a battery charge and my Zappi charger comes up with a message saying 'Charge delayed'. I can't force it via the app either.

I took the car to a local dealer who couldn't diagnose the problem, even though I left it with them for a day, and they have requested it come back in at the end of January for a few days. I couldn't believe it would take that long for them to fit me in, but it sounds like I'm not the only one.

I might get the AA out tomorrow and see what they say, though judging by your experience it probably won't be much.

Just to update you on this, in case of any use. After struggling to get the car in with the local dealership until the end of Jan, I called the MG Assist number and had the AA come out to my house to look at the car. They identified a number of faults and suggested the car was recovered to the nearest dealership. They followed me down there and then brought me back home, whilst also arranging a hire car for me.

As it has been recovered, the dealership are dealing with it as a matter of priority because the hire car is costing MG money. So, my car is currently with the dealership and they are trying to resolve the issues. Meanwhile I have a snazzy Mini Countryman to drive around in. I'm hoping for a resolution before the weekend.
