HV battery shut off

This morning tried starting the car - battery fully charged, and while the initial bit comes on, the car doesnt start and I get the message "HV battery shut off". Any answers on what I need to do? Thank you.

You may have pressed the start button and not had your foot on the brake so will get that message, did you try again and it came to ready.

Mine does this about once every 2 weeks, just off and on again like most things

Thank you for the answers. Just tried the off and on again an hour later, and it was working. Very strange.

Always fixed by the bill gates solution- power off and on .

You sometimes have to keep your foot on the brake for quite some time during the startup process. I've just got into the habit of holding the brake pedal down until the system ready prompt appears. Since I did that, I've never seen the shut off message appear.

It happened to me today when I was opening the sunroof before full boot of the computer - maybe related to a voltage drop ?
