I don't know how to lock my MG4 while keeping the AC on!

Newbie question: I live in a tropical country and occasionally need to leave my dog in my MG4 while I run to get a coffee or whatever. I don't want to just leave the window open coz it gets really hot, even for just a few minutes. The problem is, when I hit the lock button on the fob, or press the button on the door handle, the car locks and turns itself off, including the AC. Does anyone know how I can keep the AC running?

You could teach the dog to lock the doors from the inside.

If you switch the car off using the safety tab in the infotainment system I think the ac still runs? You may not be able to lock the door though.

Seeing my two large black greyhounds would frighten any stranger off but then they would chase after them to have an ear rub.
