Probably heard about the banterHow did you find MGEVS.com?
The member does have a known SR fault and sounds rightly hacked off with it, there is a fix but that famous (for the most part) MG aftersales is adding to the issues. My car was £18k, got £14.5k trade in for my old car, so it only cost me £3,500. I've already saved about £600 in fuel and probably about £100 in servicing, so not too bad so far.
My partner went to London recently, charged once on the way down and once on the way back, each charge was about 25 minutes, not too bad in freezing weather. First time she had charged the car away from home and she said it was easy.
Albeit for a person that apparently has access to other EVs that work there is a real anti EV sentiment to the posts which are full of FUD.
An hour to charge!!
30k car worth £10k after 2 years
5hr journey taking 6-8 hrs
It's all nonsense as we know
You can reject a car after one attempt to fix it up to 3 months after buying it, the clock stops when you report iti wasnt able to reject mine because the cold weather hit more than 30 days after i bought it.
If you can afford £80000 on an EV it will be great, Like my brothers BMW i4 M50, but the low end cars are and always will be shit.
You only get very long range with HUGE batteries because most EV's average about 3.5m/kwh which is pathetic.
Low end cars aren't all shit
I have averaged 4.2mi/kWh in over 2 years of ownership, mixed driving at speed limits.
Your brother paid to much for his BMW
