They don't apply to affinity it's usually 6.9%Are these 0% finance deals only being offered on the IM5 or do they not apply to Affinity deals?
MG Affinity is a discount scheme run by MG, you need to meet a criteria to qualify for it (there are loads)Not sure what affinity is, sorry. According to here though, all MG cars appear to be available at 2.9% and 0% if you put more than 15% down.
Yes that is true also, but as above, for the right buyer Affinity is a good scheme. Note you can typically get discounts without Affinity too, so don't be afraid to negotiate. Not sure what affinity is, sorry. There's a bunch of things they have to do at the docks first (see above).Called into my dealership today and was told my car (Nevis blue, std model, white interior) was in the country at the docks. I’m guessing it was on the anji soundness which docked the 10th November if I’m correct but am still being told 8th December to get to the dealer. Very frustrating.
They often do a bunch of market-specific changes at the port which amount to a PDI, I believe which can include software. A dealer should do their own checks, of course, but some are better than others at this.I thought the PDI/software updates was done at dealership and should only take a couple of hours.
I suppose you also have to take into consideration that with 9500 vehicles on the ship my car could be the first off or the last off and be at the back of the queue to be checked through so may come sooner if I’m lucky. There's a bunch of things they have to do at the docks first (see above).
Would you be happier if rather than get you the car as soon as possible and give you information like this, MG just gave you a later date that wouldn't change?
Genuinely interested in what people's views are on this.
After seeing this and the luxury tax limit going up, I really wish I had gone for the long range version now. I'm collecting my car tomorrow, so too late to change my mind, but it's basically the same car anyway.
