I think you should also consider getting your finance company involved. Technically it is their car and they can apply pressure to MG too.
Wouldn't be like MG to try and kick the can down the road a bit
Here's my thought...
IMHO, "Potentially" is not "no", hence it must be taken as being "yes" in the context of your question.
The way I would best extrapolate that ambiguous response is that the warranty "may have been compromised depending on the nature of the fault that is subject to the warranty but that is something that we would address down the line if/when a fault arises".
A further update:Thank you everyone for your valued input. Some great advice and suggestions on here and hopefully it will forewarn others of how it can go wrong despite best efforts.
Whilst some people may think I'm blowing this up out of all proportion - "the garage have told me it's ok" I only get to find out when something has gone wrong. Knowing my luck, next year there will be a major failure, the garage will be closed and MG saying no to the claim - thats my fear. The fact that MG refuse to say my warranty is still valid concerns me further and I have to see it through to either of my acceptable remedies outlined above.
In hindsight, I really wish I hadnt bought the MG, I am impressed with the car itself but the experience is marred by MGUK and the dealer. I wont be having another MG in a couple of years time, I will be heading to Tesla, Kia or Hyundai.

It's a disgrace that you put your car in, in good faith, to be serviced, You've done everything correctly and this situation still happened.A further update:
I received a phone call from the group service manager, he said they were having a dreadful time with MGUK and the only way they would consider confirming to me in writing that my warranty was still good is that my car is serviced again with all points covered on the service schedule.
My car is going back to them before Christmas for the work to be done.
It really confirms my fears that if I hadn't challenged this and there was a warranty claim in the next 21 months, MG may well have refused it.
Be very careful out there boys and girls, they're a slippery lot and you really need to keep a close eye on the details.
Yes I would definitely get it in writing from MG UK . as your car will be over it's service schedule mileage or months, and they have said they will honour that ? Please double check because any manufacturer will try and get out of warranty if vehicle hasn't been serviced to its schedule time etc .A further update:
