Inconsistent heat from HVAC

MG4 SE LR 2023.

Apologies if this has already been covered elsewhere (likely).

Often set temp to say 24C and auto, cabin warms reasonably.

Drop to 23C and the cabin goes cold.

Increase to 24C and the cabin stays cold.

Really poor output from the Hvac.

Anyone else seeing this?

What Infotainment version are you on?

Since I got the last updates (which included an HVAC update) my HVAC has been great. 22C and Auto (though I sometimes set a manual fan speed of 3) and it stays stable.

MCU software version 69.3.8.0
MPU software version SWI69-29958-1100R33

The HVAC is definitely a more fickle system than I got accustomed to from other cars over the years. Mine tends to be about 5°C out compared to my other car, but the A/C is nice and cold and in the end that’s what I care about.

And it heats up in winter but our winters aren’t too bad where I live.

I'm on R38 (was on R33) and the HVAC update was applied when I got R38.

I'm due a service in the next 8 weeks and will make sure they do the update.
Heater should be better for summer
