Given that the original MG4 went through a couple of refreshes (one of which entailed an entirely different software branch, which in itself still causes issues when people talk about "What's the latest software ....."), why do we need a new sub-board for the 2026 refresh?

And why does the Urban have its own entire new board?

The Urban is a new model built on a completely different platform to the rest of the MG4 range so fully justifies its own sub-forum.

…and the 2026 MG4 is reported to be quite different inside, potentially with different software, so the two cars, while having the same external appearance, will be quite different inside.
If this is the case then it could be quite confusing having discussions about completely different operating system systems in the ‘MG4’ as you described. Let’s avoid that this time.
If this isn’t the case, then it won’t be a problem to merge the two forums back into one.
