I'm due to pick up my MGS5 tomorrow but the reg is not recognised by the insurance search engines but is live on DVLA MOT status check
Any one had this problem and found way around it ?

Yes - when I swapped from a personal reg plate. But, you should be able to get insurance quote by specifying make/model, rather than it finding it for you based on reg number.

You might have to put in the make, model etc. manually but note some insurance companies classify the MGS5 as a hatchback not a SUV.

I'll phone insurance company later as policy on enyaq still has 8 months to run
It's their online that's the problem as there's no way to manually enter make model etc

There is on the link for Confused.com that I just posted above.

*Edit *, Sorry, I misread, I thought you were meaning Insurance comparison sites.

I would always shop around for the best deal. My renewal was for over £1,000 and I got one for under £600.

I think it's a change of vehicle rather than a renewal. May still be worth it but don't forget the cancellation fees.

@Black estate you might find your reg number has now been updated on your insurers web site.

It only cost me £18 to change my insurance to the MGS5 once they found it on their system.
