Just want to tell you that I was told by MG services that although it is called " Battery Heating ". It actually does cooling as well as heating. So when it says "Ambient temperature low. Switch on Intelligent Battery Heating?" , the engine may be too hot and it wants to cool it. This would make sense why this sign comes on when it is 27 degrees outside. It may not be software glitch.
