Hi everyone,
Sorry if this is a known problem, I did do a search but couldn’t find anything on this exact topic.

I have a MGZS EV (MKI) that I got in the summer. I don’t drive very often, once or twice a week maybe, and last drove it 3 days ago. I use it mainly to get me and my wheelchair to various hospital or medical appointments etc. As it wasn’t raining today, I thought I could do a top up charge without getting wet. (Plugging in chargers on a sloping driveway when you’re on crutches or in a wheelchair is tricky at the best of times lol)

Anyway, long story short, when I went to unplug it just now, I noticed the car was all steamed up inside. There had been a light shower whilst it had been charging, but is this normal to be steamed up? I wondered if the heating had somehow come on. Or is this just caused by general heat from the charging process? Sorry I am a newbie when it comes to all electric vehicles, have had a plugin hybrid in the past but it never steamed up like this.

By the way I have a PodPoint home charger, wasn’t using a granny charger (if that makes a difference?)
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Jo

I'm sure It will have nothing to do with the charging process.
Humidity is very high at the moment and I suspect that humid air has been drawn into the car whilst parked. When the temperature drops at nightfall, it can allow some of the vapour to condense hence internal misting.
It's been reported before although not everyone seems to experience it. I've seen the same thing on my old MG5 but not (yet) on my MGS5.

That’s reassuring to know, thanks. It just concerned me that my Mum’s ICE car was parked next to mine, but hers was clear, so that got me (over) thinking.
