If I alter maximum charge to 80% in MG Ismart app, does it stop charge at 80% if I charge at 40% and set up add 50% in Ohme Pro App. Bit confused tbh
Ie does it do anything or has ohme pro taken over the whole process?
Is it ok to charge to 100% once a week ?
Thanking you in advance

Welcome to the forum!

My understanding is that it is fine to charge to 100% as long as you are using the car the next day.

Just don't leave it sat at 100% (or very low) for a long period.

And it is a good idea to charge to 100% every so often as well. Perhaps not necessarily once per week but maybe once per month.

Not sure about your other questions.

Following on from Bam Bams advice, ss the car is used every day for a few miles ,can I just charge to 100% and ignore the 80% charging advice restriction?

The charging should stop at the level you have set in Ismart app.

We only charge to 100% before going on a long journey, that is one which will take charging to below 50%. Otherwise we charge to 80% when the charge goes below 50%. This should preserve battery life.
Remember that one pedal driving doesn't operate above 90% (or is it 80%?).

If you only do a few miles a day, it wouldn’t be necessary to charge to 100% every day. 80% would see you good for at least a week I’d imagine.

The battery can handle being charged to a 100% regularly pretty well what we can gather from other users on this forum, but if you don’t need to, I would stick to the advice of charging to 80% whenever you get down to about 20-30% or so.
