I had exactly the same with mine. It showed window open and when I checked one rear window moved up slightly even though it looked closed and the message cleared on refreshing the app.

Hmm, interesting. I have the same notification on mine. Can't be more than a couple of millimetres though, looks fine from the house. I'll check it later, not going out there just for that...

Do not touch the car's windows, just refresh the MG screen and let us know what happens.

Well, I tried refreshing the screen, still showed the windows open.

Went out to the car, made sure the windows were all closed, went through the window reset procedure just to ensure it knew where the top was. Now the app says it can't connect.

MG's connectivity really is crap.

Just had an update to the ismart app.
Now it won't let me log in.
Tried all the usual, delete app, re-download etc.
Tried to re-register, but then it needs to bind to the vehicle, but of course the vehicle is already bound. (to my account)
I could force unbind but that could take 72 hours.

Interesting. As in my post above my 'windows opened' text appeared to be random. Last 2 app starts it did not display at all. So I unlocked the car powered it up and opened the driver's window and locked the car. On starting the app I got the'window opened' text. left the App opened and closed the driver's window; refreshed the app and the text disappeared. The same happened for all 4 windows.

So, it appears, the 'windows opened' text is accurate for my MY22 Trophy so it may be type dependent as @siteguru's tests did not give the same results.

I need to do some tests with the heated seats section as my first operations gave some confusing results.

I tested mine by locking the car with the lock button on the inside of the driver's door and then opening and shutting various windows, refreshing the app each time. The app reported the state of the windows correctly every time. Mine is a 2022 Trophy.

Mine is also reporting the window state accurately - when the app actually refreshes that is. It was v. unreliable this afternoon. It's handy that it shows the time of the last refresh on the app now.

I've had lots of problems with the Ecowatt servers today, though they did start working again at one point and I managed to refresh the car status and reenable the digital key - that still doesn't work though, been over a year now.

I had a similar issue after this update, as soon as I opened the app, it immediately showed a “security alert” notification, followed right after by “security alert cancelled”. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but that didn’t help. Then I unlinked the car from the app and paired it again, and that actually fixed it. Now everything works perfectly, aside from a few questionable design choices.

I just can’t get used to that missing square in the white theme. They could’ve added a proper square showing battery charge (even though it’s already displayed above), and maybe a quick button for battery preheating (even though I’ve never used it). But seeing an empty space where something should clearly be, and then having the EV management option so hidden below, it’s honestly an eyesore.

But hey, it’s MG, I’m already pretty happy with the update overall.

how did you unlink the car, the car requires unlinking and rescanning, I can’t find how to do this.

Any help appreciated.
I updated the app this morning on IOS. It logged me out and now doesn’t recognize my email or password.
Does not send password reset notification via email or phone.
Deleted and redownloaded with no joy.
Also tried registering again but recognizes my account is already registered.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried clearing the app's cache? And if that does not work, clearing the storage? The latter will cause you to be logged out but that is already a problem.

Is there still a privacy tick box at the bottom of the login page?

I deleted the app, now I can only install it with the date November 23, version 1.0.3 and I can't do anything. I'm shocked! Everything worked for me since 22.

I restored the application with version 3.0. My account works, the car requires me to delete the old binding and make a new one. I can't find where to delete the binding, this is a problem.

The only problem with that is ... if the app is not currently showing the binding then you won't be able to do it yourself.

Having this issue suggests that the car is actually bound to a different account ... e.g. if you first set up your account via email then added your number (as I did, so I can now login using either method), if you've now logged in using your number (having deleted everything and restored the app) it might see this as a different account and not accept that the car is bound to it. Make sure you login with the original account you set up and used to first bind the car to - that's exactly what I had to do when we first went from v1 to the v2 series app in the UK.

Well.... I left all my windows open so that the car keeps cooler, no open window message. Perhaps the first 500 to update the app get the message (right or not) from MG as an early bird offer

So far I can't get this version to function at all on my Xiaomi Android phone. The initial screen scans but doesn't come up with a range or SOC. Doing a full scan just returns nonsense data e.g. doors/window open, "unknown" or -- for most things, battery 6553.3V, Power Steering Abnormal.
I've tried clearing the data/cache and logging in again but no joy.
I've contacted support to see what they say.
The old version was temperamental but at least it worked eventually

Whilst I get the occasional No Data type of message/indication, the app does generally work on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G running HyperOS 2 - i.e. Android 15. (Chinese manufacturers certainly seem to like making their phone names a right mouthful)
