I had exactly the same “Connection Problem” at Gridserves new machine at IKEA in Manchester about a month ago when trying to charge my ZS EV.
Phoned their helpline who tried to reset the machine but no joy, I gave up in the end.
My Credit Card had a reserve on it for £12:00 which after complaining came off after a few days.
