I've been here over 5 years and found it a very relaxed and friendly place. I suspect the post rankings was done as another form of entertainment, not a serious competition.

Yeah, it's just to encourage engagement. If you have multiple jokes for a thread like this, I think it's better to ration them and post them one at a time, maybe two or three a day. It's funnier if they aren't banged out in quick succession.

I thought this was the joke thread not the debating about possibly missed ranking points thread, and anyway, this is an ex parrot.

I'm struggling to understand why you insist on posting them all in separate posts, especially after our previous conversation. And if you're only posting them to give us a laugh, we'll see them just the same in a single post, as we would in separate posts, plus it's easier for you to add all the pictures in a single post, than it is to do a separate post for each one. But if you want to carry on posting them all separately and have them merged, that's fine with me.

Did you not see the negative reaction to your previous "merge"?
I think that reaction was fair comment Clive.
As it's highly unlikely that anyone is going to like every meme/joke in a 20+ post merge. Plus it looked a real mess.
Hence my individual posts.
Plus yesterday I said that I'd limit it to 5 per day. And I added..."If that's ok?"..
You didn't respond to that, so I assumed it was ok?
If possible, just disable any brownie points I score from likes etc.

Also, if your concerns about me allegedly trying to climb the forum ladder are genuine?
Take a look at the far more established members with 1000's of positive reactions.
Am I seriously ever likely to overtake them mate?

No-one takes the leader board seriously, even those regularly at the top, so it does not matter a jot who is where. The Moderators on here are genuinely moderate and let a lot go that would be jumped on on other more aggressive forums. The running of the site is a lot smoother and less confusing if there are fewer individual posts (just for the alert icon, at least). I take it my "negative" humorous reaction as been mis-construed as evidence for the defence and not the intended wind-up. OK, Moderating creeping over, if you don't want your points and they are going spare.........

As previously stated, I'm admin on a motorcycle forum.
We have one guy who posts approximately 6 (individual) memes/jokes per day. As well as other stuff
Until my conversation with @MG Clive.
It never occurred to me that he was doing so for any other reason than to make us laugh.
But I've just checked & it's made him our top contributor.
Fortunately for him, I'm more than happy for him to continue. As we don't care about any daft "perceived" top dog status.
Maybe it's a man thing?

To be fair I've always thought the Top Contributor of the Month thing is a load of cobblers. Never known it on any other forum. But again to be fair, as said above, nobody really takes it seriously and we will usually take the Micky out of those at the top.

EDIT: And I don't have any Micky left, it's all been taken Don't mention the weather, especially when it's really hot and it's freezing over that size, they have little sympathy for those suffering the heat when they are freezing for some reason .....

Don't think there's a particular issue with you. And for me personally you or anyone can post 20 separate joke posts. It doesn't bother me. But it boils down to, its the rules of the forum. And I'm not running it. And to be fair wouldn't want to
even if I knew how. I'm just grateful someone does. And that's the end of it really.
