Knocking noise MG5 LR

I have a 71 plate MG5 LR with 20k on the clock.
Recently had an annoying knocking noise which I could not locate.
Took the car to MG Kidderminster who checked it over and they found play in the near side front drop link see photo attached.
Just been fixed on warranty.
Nice quiet car now.
Hope this helps if anyone has knocking noises.

Seems an unfeasonably low mileage for a drop link failure.

I know the cars are heavy, but I would expect a much greater longevity of that particular component.

At least they sorted it without any fuss for you. ?

I have had similar early life failure with a Skoda Fabia ! They do not like pot holes and seem to be the 1st component to fail,
I shall keep a close eye on my 2021 MG5.

Suspect I’ve got a similar issue at 3.5 years old / 31k miles - clunking when I hit speed bumps faster than a few mph.

I’ll phone dealer but assuming these are wear & tear parts rather than something warranty will cover - hoping about £150 the pair fitted at a local independent garage as I can find online for about £30 each.

Interested to know what online source you are using? £60 a pair is ok, if they were Skoda/VW they would be l approx £ 30 a pair.
Very easy job to change should be less than 1 hour to do both.
