How is this possible? It suggests your car has been permanently locked to Alert mode. This contradicts to the default behaviour to always start the car with ELK activated.
Is there anyone with the same functionalities?

It’s probably another bug……but a good one.

When I first got my SR at launch I had a whole year of LKA staying off by default and it was bliss. I actually sold the car when the dealer forced the update on my car against my request during its first service. LKA is one of the worst things I’ve come across on modern cars.

I have driving the vehicle for 2 days for long distances and the average miles/kWh is around 2.2 Is that normal? I am using auto climate and Normal drive mode with adaptive regenerative braking. Any recommendations on how to improve it?

If you could post a picture of the ‘accumulated total’ page that will give us an initial idea. What country was this in? What was the weather like? Also a picture of the consumption graph on the infotainment system and what temperature you had set the HVAC to and if you had intelligent heating on and what was your cruising speed on the motorway

Although I am driving the xpower version, I get similar mileage with the same settings after a couple of weeks here in Austria.
It might be a combination of winter conditions and fun factor while driving

Also I have got a warning that my tyres pressure are running low which wasn't the case when I checked their balance as all tyres were all the same pressure of 34 so does that mean I need to quickly get it back to the dealer to fix. There is another warning of possible icy roads as well where it was just raining and the outside temp is 12C.

I was getting the low pressure warning this evening in the cold. It's caused by the pressure sliding below the tolerance limit with cold tyres. When you drive the temperature will rise and the warning will go. Best approach is to inflate the tyres sufficiently that they don't go below the tolerance even when it's frosty. Must get around to doing this. You don't need to bother the dealer about it.

Thanks Rolfe. the outside temp was around 10 - 12C degree when that happen. Is that cold enough for that happen?

Depends on what the tyre pressures were to start with. So long as the tyre pressure screen isn't showing anything scary that might suggest a puncture, just inflate all four to 2.5 or 2.6 BAR and you'll be fine.

I've had nearly 40 years of driving ( ? ), since I passed my test - although I've gone back to the dealer for servicing every few years on an ICE car, I've never being able to get them to update the original software - I'm 20000 miles into the MG4, but why would i want to update the software? - as it all works fine / as expected.

Having looked at the pictures and read the above

I think you might drive fast and have a case of lead poisoning of the right foot.
Which means you enjoy the car but are not driving economically. Your average fuel consumption over the last 50 miles has been around the 3 miles per kWh, which fits with the 17 miles done in 20 minutes at average of 43mph. If that’s from starting with a cold cabin and not from a motorway service station…
And you mention it was raining. Rain kills fuel economy.

Do you preheat the cabin?

Plus tell us what the tyres pressure were reported bring at: 34psi when cold at 20C will likely be well below the limit at 12C, but more to the point, if they are much lower or there’s a puncture that would account for an even bigger loss.

Just to reiterate the economy thing:

I was following a Tesla model X a while back and they were not driving particularly fast once up to cruising speed (60 mph on an A road) but OMG they were flooring it at every occasion. I could easily catch up with them when there was a little traffic ahead. The instant torque is fun but if you drove an ICE car the same way it would be very obvious you are going to run out of petrol soon because of the engine noise.

I found this yesterday - I'm in the East Midlands, and there was a lot of flooding. I found that any standing water prompted the icy road warning to come up. I didn't worry about it, it's a road I know extremely well, so I just carried on through the water, safe in the knowledge that none of it was more than 1 inch deep.
