When anyone with a samsung phone goes anywhere near the tag (or vice versa) it pings it and gives the location on the map ( using samsung SmartThings find). I have it in the car and can pinpoint it at anytime. Handy when it's in the dealership etc. to check it's not being used as a runabout...or by my daughter!

The ISmart app has a location, based on cell phone mast I assume but it can be very accurate.

That was in response to the comment about having the tag in the car itself!

But no doubt the point being made was just that it works, for whatever purpose is required.

Looking at the Motorola one, it says it's bluetooth, isn't bluetooth limited to something like 30ft ?
If so I can't see the point ?
