There are many "tricks" to reduce range.
  • turn on heater
  • turn on seat warmer (trophy model)
  • turn on dimister
  • turn on A/C
...
In another word, there many ways for comfy, which come with cost.

The car was draining 8 A current in parking mode. That is 2.7kW (=340v * 8A) power usage without moving. Car could consumed 21kWh for 7.44h. For LR model, the usable battery capacity is 68kWh. 30% battery would be consumed on heating.

Current range estimation is 37mls@18%. It would be 37/.18 = 205mls@ 100%. If it was in Summer, efficiency would be 30% higher without using heater or A/C. Efficiency could be 2.7mls/kWh * 130% = 3.5. Range would be 205*130%=267 miles. It is not far away from 273miles official WLTP range.

You took 7.44hour driving 138.9 miles. I guess you just enjoying sitting in a comfy warm car for most of time😁 Bad traffic?

You haven't mentioned that he had his lights on as well so should turn them off to conserve range.

I had a charge problem last night / this morning

My car has always charged as expected using app schedule and Ohme app.I had 80% set, don't charge above 7.5p. It said it would be charged to 80% by 05:30.I just checked at it had stopped at 73%!!

Why might this happen?

I'm now charging at £2.40 per hour instead of 52p.
Usually I top up at say 40%

Am I making a schoolboy error?

Sounds like you aren't using IOG correctly as you have the price cap on.

As Jomark says: I don’t put the price cap toggle on, because the smart charging is meant to do that automatically for you. Just ensure that when you program in the target milesge and end time, then set it going, check at the top middle of the schedule screen that it says “smart charging schedule” or something like that.
