Hi,
Just thought I'd share the results of some media tests I've been doing.
Videos: MP4, AVI and MKV all seem to work. I was pleasantly surprised that MKV did, and I've not found anything that the infotainment centre hasn't liked.
Audio: MP3 and FLAC both work fine (again, FLAC was a pleasant surprise).
I found album art was a bit hit and miss, and after messing about putting jpegs of various names and sizes into folders without success, I discovered that MP3s (and FLACs) can have them embedded, and that's what the audio player picks up.
If you need to add album art (I realise it's not necessary in the slightest!) then you can add it to existing MP3 or FLAC files with MP3Tag.
I also found this link which is a powershell script to automate the process. It didn't like my files though, so I did them manually with mp3tag. If/when I get chance I'll see if I can fix the script or write a new one. Because, automation
