MG App stopped working!

Anyone else getting the same issue as this? And if so, how to resolve it.

My app stated the token had expired, or some such nonsense, 1 year on from getting the car, and I needed to log in again. I have, of course, forgotten the password I set a year back. No problem I thought, just click on the forgot password button on the app and they send a verification code to your phone to allow a reset. That's where the issue starts of course, no code turns up at all, so I'm locked out of the app!!

Any ideas?
 
Re-register as a different user? May not be possible if it's tied to the phone, or the car can only have 1 account.

It's not really nonsense - lots of apps require you to actually log in once in a while. If you let your phone remember passwords then it is a bit easier to log back in.

My wife and I share the log in for the app as it only allowed one signatory. If one logs in the other receives this same message every time they try to access it. It's no problem really if you remember the password of course 😉
 
Welcome to the totally unhelpful world of MG Motors Customer Service. I have tried for months to get these clots to sort this mess out after the "your voucher has expired" message on my phone. I had made a note in my diary of my password but it didn't work. Every attempt to change the password failed because no code turns up. I have given up. Ditto trying to pair my phone with the car for more than 24 hours. The MG software is crap and the MG iSmart app is crap too. It is a shame that nobody at MG Motors can be arsed to read the endless negative comments on these forums
