MG Cyberster GT - Alarm Issues

From what I've experienced, the seat doesn't go back when exiting only when the seat didn't go fwd upon entering in the first place. Then to always have the seat go fwd on entry, press the brake before closing the door.
I did see a few posts suggesting that if Auto-Hold was used rather than (P)ark that might do it. I did try a few but to be honest often times I'm not concentrating on the sequence of doing things to work out what I did in what order!

But when I get the car back I'll test what you suggested.

To be fair, it's usually the case, when taking an intermittent fault to the dealer or any garage. It just doesn't seem to do it. When they are looking for it. Although I agree you shouldn't have to chase them.
Hopefully you get a good outcome in the end. 🙂👍
About the seat to make it work you have to put in park first them it works if you open the door while in drive or reverse it doesn't do it even that the car gets automatically in park

I had the alarm issue today. The car was parked about 60 miles from home in a car park at a marina. The alarm activated and self cancelled twice in the space of 6 minutes. The cancellation occurred 19 seconds after the activation according to the messages in the app. I was concerned about it disturbing the marina dwellers, but hoped it wouldn’t happen again. About 3 hours later the alarm activated and cancelled itself 6 times in the space of 11 minutes. I called the marina office and asked if the alarm was bothering them and if it had been raining. A marina employee had heard a car alarm at about the time the reports had arrived in the app.

Interestingly, the alarm reported as cancelled 19 seconds after the activation report on all but 1 occasion, when it took 25 seconds to cancel.

The dealership are looking into it, has anyone got any more reports of their Cyberster reporting illegal invasion alarms (now that the rain has started, in UK at least).

The dealership have been keen to help with the alarm activation issue. They tell me that they will “plug into” the car and should be able to determine which sensor is activating the alarm. This should then give them a path to a solution. I will be visiting the dealership on 11 August. I will update after that.
