Has anyone had a diagnostic done/software update done at MG to scan for faults and if so, were there any signs it was being done, like notifications from the mg app, something they always do after one etc…? I was told mine had a software version reinstalled or something which is why it’s still the same version and apparently it’s the current version for my car (also had the sc077 done) however it’s still only R40. Slightly worried as I have seen updates on here that are like R59/R63.

a couple of weeks ago I had software updates applied to my car on the advice of MG after I had booked my car in for it's first service. However, MG suggested that I book a second appointment for software updates. This was carried out before my service date (which will take place in January), took 2-3 hrs to do. They installed R67, SC077 and a bunch of seperate module updates. I did receive an alert message while the car was in for a service, which on picking the car up was asked if I received it. I had 2 'Electric power steering warning' msgs while it was in the shop which they told me were generated during the update process and to be expected. No charge at all for the work involved, excellent customer service.

Please tell us the FULL software version number, starting with SWI. If yours is SWI133 or similar then R40 is very likely the latest.

This is what it was before and I don’t think it changed.

Had the power steering fault notification on both occasions mine was in for updated.

Then yes ... your infotainment is very old. SWI68-29958-1300R67 is the latest for that software branch.
This is what I thought, they told me it was the newest. Should I ask another dealership? Or ask them why they didn’t update it and lied to me?

Nope.
Build are regional and depends of market.
EU and UK got SWI68, SWI69, SWI132 and SWI133 build according version (SE/Standard, SE Extended Range/Comfort or Trophy/Luxury) and Model Year.
But if I remember correctly, I saw Turkish MG4 with EU build, a Luxury with SWI68-29958-1300R59 firmware

So there is no way for me to compare if my dealer is just refusing to update any software/firmware for my variant. SWI167-29958-1100R05, MG 4 EV Trophy 99kW 64 kWh

I am in a similar situation as they claim its the newest version THEY have but I know its not the newest version for my variant as someone on here as already said.

What issues do you have with your car?
Old software version which I think is causing problems with the sensors on the back of my car. I also had a big issue with it at the start of December where it actually stopped me from driving it completely too.

For me, when OPD, the auto brake seem to hold, then hold again, and again, like it quickly release and brake and hold again. Also it rolls back before coming to stop and auto hold
