MG Granny Charger 13 amp plug to charging unit to Type 2 car socket.

Good morning. I'm picking up a new MG S5 LR Trophy shortly and have just joined this site. The likelihood is, I'll have the vehicle before by home charger is fitted. Does anyone have the subject charger available to sell by any chance? I've seen an archived ad for one, but my guess is that it's been sold?

There are several options on Amazon for example:

Amazon.co.uk : 3 pin granny charger

I'm sure one of those would do the job. (You don't need a specific MG branded unit).

PS - your forum profile says you're driving an MG5 Trophy LR ... is that what you currently have, or have you misread the car options?

Yep, I got one off Amazon for £90 coz the MG one wasn't long enough (4m). So sent for a (6m) and a little added bonus is the Amazon one is 3.3kW and the MG one is 2.3kW, so it charges just a tad quicker.

They used to come with the granny and some dealers would throw in a type2 cable.

They used to come with the granny and some dealers would throw in a type2 cable.

Yes, it's coming with a Type 2, but my home charging point won't be done when the car arrives, hence thought I'd look for a cheapish granny cable

Just to confirm, no, haven't misread. There is no MG S5 listed, so I chose MG5 instead

Thanks for confirming ... @Stuart Wright I think the forum options need updated to incorporate the new MGS5 models.

If you want a genuine MG Granny charger in a nice MG bag, this one is as good as you'll get, if you offer him around £73+the postage you'll probably get it > Granny Charger.
