Bugger can't get it to format with all the data lining up. Looks fine in edit mode but reverts back to stupid once saved.

Edit moderator: My attempt using the "Insert Table" feature:

Looks like the least awkward way would be to copy to clipboard from the original source, then paste into an editor like Notepad that uses fixed width characters, line everything up, then copy and paste into the forum editor between code tags.
Looks like the 75kWh battery, 291bhp, top speed 125 (mph) with very similar spec to the more expensive models will be my choice, super luxury car for under 40k.
Shame that only the base IM5 creeps in under the "£40k = Luxury" car tax limit.
But the 75kWh version appears to be similar specs to the more expensive models, the figures stack up nicely to me as a UK pensioner past mid 70's, I can afford the extra car tax, but determined NOT to pay it!

Agreed.
IM will be to MG as Lexus is to Toyota.
A Toyota mech told me Lexus is originally meant for US market. (Luxury EXports to US) Just so happens it took off around the world. Toyota have the formula. 10.9 million cars globally is no ordinary feat. MG are aiming for 2 million this year. BYD have a hold on the Chinese market. They make their own batteries too. Would be nice to see a collaboration between BYD and MG. Either way MG seem to have hit all areas of the market. Something Tesla and co haven't done. MG3 was what Tesla were missing. BYD had no 2 seater or coupe. Only the Yangwang Supercar which £180,000 or so.

They look nice and everything, but the MG software and their relationship (or not!) with dealers would put me off ever buying anything upmarket from MG for the foreseeable.

On the MG website, its not clear to me as to whether all the software toys, such as auto park, rain view etc are supplied with all three versions of the IM5 or just the performance version. Any thoughts?

If you configure the model to a particular spec and click on the "Standard Equipment" tab it shows you what that spec has a s standard

Well the cheaper 75kWh standard model have sluggish charging has a 400V architecture. Gonna fail with big sales on that.

Seems strange that it doesn't have the traditional MG badge on it instead of the nondescript IM badge. Are MG-UK ashamed of the traditional MG badge?

Repeat question.

On your driveway?
In the dealer! If that was the case id be a millionaire 'MG Enthusiast". A case of a family or friend works there and helping get their commission maxed out. I now get why certain colleagues bought new cars every 6 or 12 months. Crazy for 9 to 5ers eh...

Just noticed that on the Australian website that the Platinum IM5, the equivalent of the IM5 100 Long Range that we'll get, has 20" wheels, the same as the performance version. In the UK it'll come with 19" wheels. I wonder why the difference:unsure:?
BTW, the Aussies also get a different paint/interior colour choice and oh, the base model is 10k cheaper at A$60990 (£29585)
