You all are in for a big surprise.I got my IM6 last July, There were some teething problems at first, but all is well now. I think that this being a new car, especially in Thailand, that much of the infrastructure was not completed. No one at the dealership knew much about the car in order to instruct me a little. In addition, the owner’s manual is pretty much content free. It’s about 80% what you can’t do, 15%what you can do, and 2% how to do it. The remainder is just garbage. All that said, I love the car. It’s comfortable, very quiet, and a veritable rocket. Some real surprises, an e-Sim with a 5 year subscription allows internet access as well as a hot spot for your phone to use. The LKA (lane keeping assistance) Pilot system is very close to self driving, very close! Impressive! The dash is devoid of any switchgear, everything is done through the two touchscreens. There are only five buttons, a door latch release on each armrest, and a door lock/unlock on the driver’s door. The only mechanical release I can find is the frunck. The incredible array of settings is impressive though a bit intimidating at first. I appreciate the fact that all of the variables are available, even if most of them are set-and-forget. For compare, it cost £32K, the cheap one. Enjoy folks and join the IM6 forum if you get one.

Not sure which dealership you got yours at but we picked up ours and the dealer is still pretty clueless. Although the bow and flowers were nice... :/ Coming from our Tesla Model 3, the screen interface is not a big learning curve with the IM6 getting major props for the ability to customize it. Elsewhere, meh, not so much. This is definitely a Chinese designed car and that steepens the knowledge hill you have to climb. I'm sure it will be much easier once I figure out where everything is hidden. The Tesla was a no brainer - plug and play - the keys just worked, the phone keys just worked, you walk up to the car and drive away. The IM6 is a bit tougher. We still haven't been able to get the phone key to work automatically. And what's this nonsense about only one phone key? But the car is a hoot to drive. They claim 0 - 100 in 6.9. I think that's pessimistic.

I think one of the biggest flaws compared to tesla is the keyless entry. With a smart lock on the house and tesla keyless I can just walk into the car/house/etc with only my phone and I don't even need to take it out of my pocket. No need for keys/fobs etc.

A big point for the model Y is the boot. Its so easy to get large objects in, compared to the boot on the model 3 and pretty much every other car out there.

The biggest point in teslas favour ( for those that do longer trips ) is the seamless charging experience.

There's a lot to like and the big sticking points are solvable.

I think my biggest hangup is that china just got a facelift on the im6 that gives it the zero gravity chairs and better suspension, while we're getting the pre-facelift version. So the facelift version is quite a bit better and will be coming out next autumn ?

A very interesting car with some advanced features - if only the dealership service can match it!

Regular service shouldn’t be a problem. A new cabin air filter yearly, new brake fluid every two years, and coolant flush every four years. No more waiting four hours for an oil change every six months. I love it!

Western brands developed cars on long cycles of small improvements, China has put a supercharger, turbocharger and NOS on it.

Probably true. But if thought like that, you'd never get owt.

Totally agree, so what do you, wait for that. Then next year you could say, better not get that, coz there might be a better one next year.
So on, and so forth.

I was thinking more about issues than general servicing.
