MG4 platform hasn't changed - it is a mid-life refresh only. Presumably it will come when the MG4 is replaced with a new RWD/AWD platform car.

Yep know that. Was curious why they didn't put one in from new. 2022. As they are now putting them in cheaper MGs.

As I said, they didn't think the benefit was worth the cost. With the new platform and heat scavenging and weight saving and more, clearly they now do think it is worth the cost. Probably also cheaper for them to do now than it was when the MG4 launched.
