No idea. Was just asking the question as that's one thing that is missing from stock. SOH would be handy too come to think of it.

It's more useful on the cars without an app, for most people I suspect they'll not be interested if the car has an app already .

Probably reliability. There isn't a faceless corporation in the loop.

Possibly also a certain satisfaction in doing it yourself and having control over the software.

A lot more than £15.

I have uploaded the latest firmware version to https://media.dragon2611.net/ovms/ovms3.3.003-499-gbe900b4a.bin All MG specific shell commands now need to be preceded by xmg e.g. xmg softver Use xmg ? to see all commands for selected model. This is a requirement before I push it to the main code. There are a few other small fixes as well.

I’d have expected a multi network IOT type contract but then again that still doesn’t necessarily mean all 4 networks are available as it will depend on what service plan they have.

These usually work by having a foreign carrier sim profile and then using that carriers roaming agreements.
