MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

Ordered a White ZS Trophy long range in feb 2022 had a call from the dealer mid Dec to say no news yet. Then out of the blue on 23/12 had a call to say they had a Silver ZS Trophy connect in would i like it "yes please i said".
Picked up it up today and loving it lots of learning to do.

Great news got mine just before xmas and loving it no problems at all.

no i was not eligible for the grant when i ordered the original car in feb but i did get a dealer discount of £1500 and that was kept in place for the replacement car

Congratulations I’ve got same car same spec same colour had it since 7/12/22 yes it’s a fantastic car , I found some brilliant youtube videos that we’re so helpful

Spoke to a car leasing company that I can do a salary sacrifice with through my work, I was told by them for the ZS EV it’s a 6 month lead time? Reading the previous posts that sounds like pie in sky. Are MG prioritising other models at the moment?

Not sure, but I ordered through Salary Sacrifice, a silver ZSEV LR Connect in March, told June, July, Sept and Mid Dec but still waiting. Good luck ?

Hi Declan,

The ZS is a great car, but seeing as people that ordered a year ago are still waiting, six months is a pipe dream.

Your best bet would be to ring round the dealers & see if they have a cancelled order

6 months is not realistic, should be giving you 10-12 months.

I ordered in March through a lease company and still waiting. Latest update is June delivery.

I ordered a Standard Range Trophy Connect in Silver on the 18th of July 2022 and received it today!

I ordered through Tuskers, so hopefully if anyone else was in a similar boat they’ll be getting theirs soon. It was deliver by Luscombes of Leeds, despite being a good 3 hour drive away!

Love the car so far…!

Fingers crossed. It landed with Luscombes on the 16th of December. It all happened very quickly on the website as well, went from Allocated Build Slot to Awaiting Pre Delivery overnight, the day later they contacted me about delivery.

For those living in southern Europe (certainly the iberian peninsula) our dealer in Porto (who sadly never contacts us with updates but is very responsive when we do contact him) said that the cars come from Belgium even for Portugal - that's a long drive! He also said the wait for the Marvel is even longer!!

Also a long time lurker but first time poster-this gives me hope I ordered through Tusker (and my dealer is luscombe leeds) well May 2022 and also ordered a standard range trophy connect but in white. I still have awaiting build slot with estimated delivery feb 2023 (previously sept 22, then Dec 22)

If it is any help, I ordered the car when it popped up on the ‘in stock vehicles’ page, so I think the car had already been allocated a build slot at that time.

Hopefully soon for you, my fingers are crossed for all of you waiting!

Hi all, does anyone has further intel on upcoming shipping details? Have SAIC's own ro-ro ships operational by now? Also what are we receiving these days in UK in terms of numbers of ZS EV Vs MG4 and others?

Update: this seems to be a very informative article,

"We are 5000 ZS EVs behind where we thought we would be,” Pigounakis said.

MG will have better supply going into 2023 as deliveries of the new MG4 compact hatchback, a rival to the VW ID3, start to increase.

MG UK expects the car, which starts at 25,995 pounds and has a range of 218 miles (351 km), to become MG’s biggest UK seller in 2023.

In the UK, MG quotes order times of between 8 and 10 weeks for the MG4 and says it has 8,500 units of differing models arriving in the next five weeks." Source
