I've spoken to my Dealer today, apparently my car is scheduled for delivery in July now, my original order was placed in August 2021(ZS exclusive) switched to ZS Trophy LR on 4/11/21.
I think MG should be offering customers with long standing orders a degree of compensation for the long wait
Unfortunately they have no reason/incentive to offer a degree of compensation. If the person who originally ordered the car decides against going ahead then they can easily sell the car to someone else. Looks like most manufacturers are the same at the moment.
Yep. Called my local dealer Richard Hardie and learned they’ve got 2 SRs available in the next week or two but no realistic sight of LRs.I think we should all realize by now that MG Batch Build and that MG UK have been saying for some time that ZS EV's are on Shortage meaning certain componant parts are not available.
When all parts are available they will setup a production line and produce 800-1000 cars/day, from this start day we need to add 2-3 months delivery to uk dealers. This means if they start next week (unlikely) it will be July-Sept before the majority of our orders are fulfilled.
From yesterdays Podcast it would appear that all the cars delivered to date are from the Launch Production Batch built July-Aug 21. The few cars that are making there way to the UK now are cars that were destined for other RHD countries.
With the MG4 and maybe Meteor available to order Q4 2022 anyone having second thoughts.
I got an email on 13th April to say my Feb order had been pushed back from June to August.Update !!, What's an Update. I think Chorley Group (Burnley) have fallen off the planet.
I'd be really tempted to take a SR on quick delivery rather than wait an unknown length of time for my LR, but most dealers seem to prioritise sales customers over Motability ones.Yep. I wouldn't hold you breath !I've spoken to my Dealer today, apparently my car is scheduled for delivery in July now, my original order was placed in August 2021(ZS exclusive) switched to ZS Trophy LR on 4/11/21.

That lines up with my order. I ordered in the middle of November and I'm picking it up on Thursday. Red trophy LR. I'm in Sweden though so I'm sure that has an effect on delivery. It's weird reading through those messages about long additional delays, when I talked about this with my dealer he said delivery times were accurate if he followed his spreadsheet based on trim, capacity, color. He said basically at the moment a new order takes between 6 and 10 months mostly based on color (red and blue taking longer for some reason).
Probably too busy trying to sell cars on this website !9th of April was the last I heard from Chorley MG Burnley. Mind you that was after I emailed them.

Unfortunately your car was one of those on the list.
I am sorry to have to give you this news.
Although out of our control, i will understand if this news does not fit in with your plans.

I rang Chorley motors about mine and they confirmed September. I said I was not happy that I had to find out on the forum, an email would have been nice…. a weak sorry was the reply…Thanks for the update Chris, I ordered from them too but hasn’t received any emails from them. The emails that did go out to people appeared to go out over the weekend, I am surprised that Miles@chorley group did not mention the push back date in Mondays pod cast.
I doubt MG will be offering any compensation due to the delay in deliveries. They know that if you jump ship you just join a long lead time with another manufacturer.I've spoken to my Dealer today, apparently my car is scheduled for delivery in July now, my original order was placed in August 2021(ZS exclusive) switched to ZS Trophy LR on 4/11/21.

Long Range SEVanarama rang earlier. They've been assured by MG that my car will definitely, most probably, almost likely, be here in September.
