For those who wonder how a dechromed black ZS would look like, I have gone and done it. Just to share for those who are interested, would know how it'd look. I have also done numerous cosmetics upgrades which I will upload more photos later on and share with you guys.

Btw should I black out the front and back lower chrome trim too?

So was this an at home plastidip job or you had it done professionally? Also I think if you are going full in black edition, yes, do the lower chrome trims on the doors as well as front and back ;)

DIY vinyl wrap, the lower door trim was already covered with Matt black. Will do the bumpers next when I have time!

I like it. I also had some accessories like tinted rear window

Here are more of the mods I made:

1. Frunk solution using net and secure onto car's screwheads. I found this very useful to store my charging cable. The net is strong enough even when the bonnet closes, the cable wouldn't touch the battery. Easily reversible.

1A. Gas structs for easy opening of the bonnet.

2. Carbon fibre steering wheel covers

3. Metal air vent trim

4. Hardwired front and backdash cam which runs android

5. Interior mood light using the dash cam socket next to rear view mirror

6. Carlinkit wireless android auto

7. Electric tailgate installed by my friend. I can confirm it works with car remote. Rear boot button and an installed button in the front of the dash.

Enjoy!

Some great ideas @Liandada - I would love the electric tailgate opener and the lights round the pan roof. My current car has blue lights round the (non-opening) glass ceiling. I am going to miss those!

How long did it take to install the tailgate lift ? I would love it but I fear it would be too expensive. I heard it was £500 just for the kit. Does you M8 live anywhere near Sidcup.?

Where did you pick up the permanent live for the dash cam?

It took us around 4.5 hours start to finish. But once you know what you are doing it can be done within 2 to 3. Feeding the wires and making them discreet was the most time consuming. The electronic parts are just plug and play. He is near Cheltenham. The kit I ordered when I was in Hong Kong cost me around 250 pounds. I'm really happy with the install but the only thing that we couldn't figure out is the car always think the boot is closed, hence the boot light will not turn on when the tailgate opens.

I did not like the beesting aerial so I changed it for this cost £2:50 eBay 3 mins to change it. Chose the chequered one as I’m involved with motorsports.

It looks as though you are running the ambient footwell lighting from the cigarette socket?

I found that the only USB-A socket that would power-on when unlocked and turn off when locked was the main one for CarPlay/AA. I'm hoping that a splitter cable will allow both charging/CarPlay with a phone and the ambient lights to work.
