Not an MG
I ordered an MG ZS on January 6th January of this year but learned yesterday that my car won’t arrive until possibly February of next year

I want my car for occasional Hackney work so waiting forever isn’t ideal , I’m going to leave my order in place as I can always sell it anyway, I see a demo Kia E Soul for sale close to me and was wondering how they compare to the MG ZS ? , looks wise , the MG wins hands down for me , I don’t like the appearance of the E Soul but has anyone owned one or driven one ? , reviews are very good and an ideal car for Hackney/ taxi service, I could sell it again when the MG arrives anyway as it would likely loose less
than a ten year old diesel car in six months

If it's the latest version of the Soul they're very well specced but a little more expensive than the ZS.
But as you say they are butt ugly compared to the ZS.

I bought an E Soul ( six month old demo)this morning, I’m gambling that depreciation won’t be too severe if my MG arrives in six months, I can’t say with any certainty that the MG will arrive by then so I needed to make a move

By all accounts it's a fab car that's well equipped - just ugly. I wonder if you'll miss it's sound system and things vs the ZS.

I might well only keep it six months but dealer told me yesterday he can guarantee nothing re_ MG so I needed to move

I'd have done exactly the same - you might end up really loving it!

Really poor finance rate of 7.9% on offer as “ it’s a registered car - demo “,bought in cash , sold a rental property two weeks ago so no point leaving cash doing nothing, it’s a contradiction, very quirky external but conservative interior

I am on my own looking at the comments because I like the look of it but then I owned a Nissan Juke which splits the crowd also I have just read some reviews and it looks like a decent motor. ????
If in six months time , I’ve observed negative reviews of the MG ZS ( hopefully not as I really like the ZS styling ) ?, who knows , I might stick with the E Soul

How much is the soul brand new in the UK ?

Just a follow up, Kia E Soul could not proceed as I hope to use my EV purchase for occasional Hackney work locally and the Kia E is not on the list of eligible vehicles, the dealership refunded me in full and said they encounter this all the time, national transport authority are all over the place with their conditions, the KIA E Soul fails on boot size incidentally

Only when I read every inch of the Hackney licence rules and regulations publication did I discover it wasn’t eligible, I then emailed NTA and got a reply yesterday, car wasn’t ever moved from dealer

PS , I’m in Ireland so rules probably not relevant to majority on this site ?

So you are back to looking for a cancelled order for a ZS which come up from time to time in the UK.
