MG4 bottom door sill very "sharp"

My wife is 4ft 6 and we can honestly say the sill has never been an issue. just being mindful it's there is enough.

I'm also a volunteer car driver, taking patients to hospital appointments and for a while taking an elderly neighbour to church. I've not had any problems beyond the elderly neighbour remarking once that my car wasn't so easy to get out of. And she used a walking frame and wasn't mobile enough for the lifts-to-hospital organisation to accept her as a client.

It seems to be very specific to certain mobility issues I think. I've had all sorts of arthritis and so on in the car and never even thought about it.

I'm also shorter than average (5ft 4") and for my first month or so of ownership, I too struggled to get used to the wide sill. I never picked up an injury but the back of my trouser legs picked up all the traffic film/mud from that edge.

Having said all that, after that first month of ownership ( coming up to 3 years of ownership this November), I must have got the hang of exiting the car as I don't even think of it now. Wife still complains about my trousers though - although that's probably another story......

Yes, one does agree that this is sharp! (old brigade here -88 yr old mother is not happy)

I don't think it helps that the seats themselves (on Trophy just in case other models are different) have high squishy sides to get over too. I can see why people who aren't too flexible would struggle with this cars sill width and seat shape.

Sat in an MG4 for the 1st time on Friday and it was the 1st thing I commented on, 6ft tall so not exactly short legs. It was the only thing that annoyed me about the car, loved the styling on the trophy version.

you do learn to work around it, it's easier for us 6 footers

I'm a shade under 6' and have rarely noticed the wide sill. Having mud flaps helps to keep crap off the sill, to minimise the risk of marking your trousers.
