MG4 Dashcam get power from roof light

Hi there,

I installed a dashcam and would like to get the power from the black box directly in front of it (where also SOS button is located). Would be most conveniant. There is a connector BY065 inside that should have ground and +12V. Ground is black but does anyone know which of the 7 cables is 12V?

Hi,
Just fitted a dash cam to my LR MG4. Bought a power adapter cable from China (not sure if I can post link ?) and a 12v to 5v from Amazon. The power adapter cable comes with a round small 8pin which I cut off to reveal 2 wires (red/black) connected to 12v to 5v and checked power to dashcam. Boom, works a treat.
A few photos attached to show connection.
Dashcam will auto switch on when car opened and switches off when locked.
