Does anyone know if there are specific servicing and maintenance requirements for the Mg4?

My dealer said there would be something cheap but did not have any details. He did say they would offer a ‘plan’ but I don’t know if that is actually needed.

I know in general tyres should be the main thing, plus occasional stuff on the brakes, AC and battery cooling.

Any experiences from other MG EVs that could set my expectations?

Many thanks,

Tom.

Yeah, that’s what my local MG dealer told me. They are in the process of putting a cheap servicing deal together which should be ready by the time I take delivery. As you said, tyres will be the main thing, but I imagine some fluids and cooling liquids will need a top up.

What cooling liquids? The only coolant will be for the battery pack - and I thought that was a sealed system?

This stuff (sorry about the writing, taken from a review): 2 cooling systems and topups clearly possible.

My dealer quoted: it would be £70 year 1, £130 year 2 and £70 year 3.
If I was paying, but they do a deal with all new MG's 3forfree. Servicing is free for three years, so is Tax(free anyway) and AA free for three years.

I was quoted £303.21 for a 2 year plan for a standard range. I don’t tend to keep cars long so I might as well just pay at the time. I suspect MG will have new cars coming thick & fast on this new platform, so lots to tempt us!
