MG4 SE Long Range (2025) Black Infotainment Screen

Hey guys, I've had my MG4 SE Long Range (2025) delivered less than a month ago through my company's lease program, and about 2 days ago once I got into the car like every morning the infotainment screen wouldn't turn on at all and stayed black, as well as getting several error messages such as Auto Hold System Failure and some others. The car's mileage is about 1000 only and I have done a 100 miles roundtrip the day before the screen failure.

I have tried pressing on the home button for 10, 30 seconds and even a whole minute to no avail. The screen just won't turn on, and this means I can't control any of the driving modes, or control the air conditioning. I've also let the car completely off for about 12 hours, but no luck either.

I have read several places that it might be worth disconnecting the 12V Battery and re-connecting it again after a short while, however not too sure if this would be allowed under a lease or if it could void any sort of warranty? I have contacted the leasing company (Tusker UK) and the dealership has come back with a slot in 2 months time from today!!!

Any help or ideas on how to get this solved at home would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

No issue disconnecting the 12v. All it will do is reset everything for you. Need to leave it disconnected for 10, maybe 15mins for it to work properly though…. Oh and only the negative connection needs disconnecting

Thanks for the reassurance, I might give this ago if there isn't much risk.

Not really a car expert - would I need any tools (like a wrench) to unscrew, or is there a latch or something to press to just pull the negative connection off the battery upwards?

10mm spanner is all that is needed.
