One of my headlights (left passenger side) has come on after I had locked the car. I’ve tried to switch off the lights manually, tried to power down the infotainment system, opened and shut all the doors. Nothing works.

Just recently had a new windscreen fitted but can’t imagine they touched the headlights in any way.

The left hand indicator is still switched to that position, if you change it to the right hand side, the right hand front and rear light will be on .... it is a parking requirement in some countries is the vehicle is parked on the side of the road at night so other vehicles can see you, just the lights on the side closest to the passing traffic

No indicators are on Terry. And it is the full headlight main beam that is on (not a side light like most cars have that do the turning light). As I said I shut everything down, turned off the lights, no indicator on, no doors open, no windows open etc.

It is still on. Even after the car is powered off and locked shut.

It's the Ctrl+Alt+Del of the MG4 world. ;)
That be the classic Windows Shut down, reboot, disconnect the power, count to a number think will be enough, then reconnect the battery ..... if that doesn't work, try duct tape or a bigger hammer.

Excellent - that seems to fix most issues 🤣
It worked for a couple of days but came back on again. Have just disconnected the battery again so will see if a second dose does it. If not I’ll get the dealer to look at it in a few weeks when it’s in for its second service.

My wild guess is that it might be a sticking relay, but I'd expect that to affect both headlights.

So the next wild guess would be the electronics in that headlight. Probably an expensive repair, hopefully under warranty.
The car is 2 years old.

When I tried to get them to look at my seat (prematurely wearing) under warranty after a year they told me that they wouldn’t do anything after 12m. Not sure if that would apply to the headlight too.

LED lights aren't specifically mentioned in the warranty document .. such lights certainly aren't bulbs .. so (IMHO) they should be covered for the full 7 years of the warranty.

That doesn't mean MG might not try to finagle their way out of it though.
