MG4 Software Update Thread

Yep but more cycles with 51 kWh could be balance with less cycles but bigger battery (64 kWh)

By the way, 1 cycle of LFP is 0.8 cycle of 64 kWh wich mean if you charge your NMC 64 at 80% daily, it's pretty much the same like having a 100% LFP battery

For an LFP pack it's not that surprising ... after 1 year (actually 1.25 years from build) it was ~96%, after 2 years it was ~93%, after 3 years it was ~91%. So 90.66% now is pretty much as expected ... at the 4th service I suspect it'll be about 90%.
Mine also 96% After 2 years. Should be normal for SE with LFP🙂

I should add ... whilst the SOH is reported as 90.66%, I'm not experiencing any noticeable reduction in actual range across the 3 winters I've had this car. I've certainly not lost almost 10% of real-world range.
Likewise with my 65k SR - can't say I noticed any drop in range after 3.5 years.

Given that this model was quoted as having a 49kWh pack in the refreshed versions, vs the 51kWh (50.8kWh usable) ... I doubt that they fitted a different battery pack; perhaps the software interface changed so that the 0.2kWh buffer became a 2kWh buffer. :)

IIRC, it's only the new "MG4 Urban" that gets the 49kWh pack.
The existing MG4 SE disappears altogether
The Trophy changes its name to "Premium" and gets a 64kWh LFP pack instead of NMC
The ER's 77kWh pack & X-Power's 64kWh packs remain NMC
