I went back to R46.
On R63 or R59 the weather and user app would only work immediately after reactivating the device. After a restart both would stop working.
This problem occurred after going from R59 to R63, going back to R59 didn't change the behaviour. Back to R46 and its ok again.

Regarding the Bluetooth-connection/pairing issues:
I noticed, that when you restart the head unit by holding the home button for 10 seconds on R63 and on R59 (and probably on R46) the device will start up with a different mac-address which will trigger a pairing request.
Some people mentioned, that they still have these Bluetooth issues, even though they updated to R59 or R63.
My theory is, that the Bluetooth problems are not connected to the head unit itself, but maybe to the ECU for the head unit, because this device triggers start-up and shutdown of the main unit.
When I updated to R59 I also updated the ECU, and maybe that fixed the Bluetooth pairing issues.
As I am now back to R46, but still have the ecu update installed, I may be able to give more feedback in a couple of weeks.

The driver screen is completely independent from the infotainment system

I heard that with r63 Greek language comes to that screen. So it might be a file in that update

When i look at the german translation, its harder to understand than the english version. they just took the native language and ran it through an autotranslate with no context...

Thats why I'm looking for it. MG has no Turkish lang but I did translate and put it into files. I need to reach that little screen. Also my main is like that screen. I did custom theme. I call it 'Dark flame'

Everything Works fine from R33 to R46.
BT fails since R63.
So, something wrong with R63 update.
One module is not correctly updated or not update at all.
I’ll be back after my next service in 10 days.

if you want the weather to still work on your r63 you have to factory reset everything, then go to the engineering menu under activation and delete the activation, and finally install r63 via USB key. just avn-mpu. I have an MG4 77kWh Trophy and now everything works for me.

thanks a lot for the upgrade info. following the instrucion I could upgrade from R30 to R63 , Luxury23 , but I could upgrade only the AVN MPU about MCU got error (wrong format or does not find data). but the USB and the file structure is the same used to upgrade MPU few minutes before, sounds strange?

If you get impatient and pull the usb stick out from the car early it can corrupt the partition

Once you use a USB key in a vehicle, additional files are written to the USB key, these files need to be deleted, then there will be no error.

I spent so much time updating, downgrading, factory resetting and de-/reactivating lately, that i honestly need a break. Especially because the outcome of all this is a little bit random.
I will drive r46 for a couple of days to see if the bluetooth pairing issues are gone, because that was my most annoying issue

Just to say ... you STILL haven't answered the question. Please tell us, what is your FULL SOFTWARE VERSION NUMBER! If you try to apply R63 then you may be applying THE WRONG SOFTWARE for YOUR car.

Just a short question regarding activation. When i did activation from the engineering menu on r59 and r63 during the last weeks i got a security exception on my first button push on 'activate avn' and OK on my second try.
Is this normal behaviour?

It is. It was the same for me. It only works on the second try.

Hi, after R33 there is only R38. However you can bump direct. Personally i bumped from R21 direct to R38.

Unless you're also doing all the other updates (including the HVAC update) then I'd recommend just staying at 1100R33. With 1100R38 you lose the ability to swipe down from the top to access the quick menu when Android Auto / Apple Carplay is running.
