Mg4 software versions

LKA when updated should now give 5mph increase when pressing the up button on the ACC (cruise control ) when it was 1mph increase previously. The R version has no bearing on LKA version.

If you want to update the infotainment you can do it yourself - instructions and files are available on another post in this forum.

If you still have disconnection problems after the updates carried out it may be a TBox issue but I would see how it goes.
Before this appointment the ACC increments were 5mph but now they’re 1mph. Is there anything else that can help pinpoint the LKA version I’m now on?

Thanks for the infotainment tip! I’ll look into that

Other way round, bud. Old method was 5 for single tap, 1 for tap-and-hold. Update changed that to 1 for single tap and 5 for tap-and-hold. The update also removed the aggressive slow-down when taking gentle bends with ACC active. :)

@noahb22 You'll know if the LKA update has been done, as the car won't try to yank the wheel out of your hands - it's more of a gentle nudge now. :)

1100R13 was what my car came with in November 2022. At first service this was updated to 1100R33, and at second service it was updated to 1100R38. No update at third service, but I did an update myself last week to 1100R45. (MCU versions were updated each time the MPU was updated).

Thanks @siteguru that’s very reassuring to hear!

Hi, I'm a bit lost with the software versions, my car was in for its first service today, I have had a few minor issues, namely temp needing to be on 27 degrees, bluetooth drop outs where I've had to reboot screen. I have a 25 trophy extended range and was told they had updated the "software", but theres nothing on the service sheet. The only software version i can see in settings, system, is Entertainment system version which is SWl133-29176-1300R41, is this an updated version do you know? I would like to think I can trust what they say but just want to check... Thanks.

SWI133 means Trophy/Luxury MY2024 (or V3), and 1300R41 is the latest update we saw since 1300R36.

You need to know which build you have (SWI133) which version (R41) to know what you have exactly.
I got a MY2022 Luxury (Trophy) build SWI68, received in 2023, and version was R33 back then. I got R46, R63 and now R67. But build is still the same, SWI68, like MY2023 (until mid 2024). You got a MY2024 built since mi-2024 and available until next MG4 (2026 facelift).

I'll be pushing to get mine updated at the end of the month due to bluetooth issues, I'm pretty annoyed as they told me it had the latest software (SWI133 - R32) and clearly there's been 2 updates since R36 and R41
