I took delivery of my MG4 Trophy LR a year ago today. The biggest issue I have had with it is the intermittent failure of the speed recognition. I took it back to the dealer in about May last year because it was so annoying. It wasn't missing the odd sign but was either working or not at all. On average I would say it worked about 40% of the time. Last week it went in for its first service and I complained about it again and was told it was a common fault for which there was no fix.
When I collected it the service manager said they updated part of the sysytem.
On the service sheet they gave me it says "Carried out fault code scan - no faults. Checked SIPS and found that FVCM is not calibrated. Calibrated FVCM".
I understand this is related to the Forward Camera. Whatever it is I am delighted to say that I have done about 15 journeys since the service and it has worked perfectly
I pass this on in case it is of help to anybody else
