Anyone found a use for the usb C connector ??

I've just bought a USB pen drive with A and C connectors. Load the A from my PC with mp3s and plug into the C (right hand) connector on the MG4. It plays the mp3s leaving the A connector for your phone.

For the interface to CarPlay etc you need a standard USB connector, the usb C plug is for charging only. Thank you my friend for your response which I now understand.

But why not just 2 standard USBs or use the c for the android auto so that the other can be used for a memory stick?

Davn, ask MG...it's like all manufacturers design choices...I had a charge only usb in my armrest storage which would have been perfect for Android/Appleplay/media but ?‍

Just strange that they would use the newer format for the lesser function ?
